As we forge ahead in making connections of service and care in our communities, we especially thank those who attended the Special Projects Grant Symposium on October 16th, and those who continue to volunteer by donating their time to The Gift Stop, which provides funding for many of our UF Health projects. While you continue your good work, please remember to consider donating to our Guild philanthropy through the Guild Gives campaign. These funds are used to help support community projects, and are vital to continuing our philanthropic efforts.
Last year, we had 47 members donate over $15,000, the most ever donated to this cause! A sampling of your support included providing dental care outreach for the homeless and indigent (Street Medicine/WeCare) as well as children and adults with developmental and behavioral disabilities (UFCOD, The ARC).
Have you ever had to face general anesthesia for a simple dental procedure? Our funds help avoid this and provide understandable care for special needs families. Pace Center for Girls received support for healthy and nutritious eating choices that are not typical cafeteria food. The monies you gave also supported Elder Options to provide essential resources, like glucose monitors and blood pressure monitors to enhance wellness for low-income seniors. We are thrilled to continue to be partners for good in Alachua County.
So, be on the lookout for your letter in early November. Donations received between November 1st and February, 28, 2025 will be recognized in the April 2025 UPDATE. However, later gifts are gratefully accepted and appreciated. Please return your check in the response envelope provided in the letter. Or click here to make your online gift to this campaign. Tax receipts will be sent via email unless you ask otherwise.
Laura Lynch (chair) and her committee members, Marjorie Weiner, and Michele Stumbaugh thank you for considering contributing to this Guild philanthropic endeavor!
